carbon fiber wrapped 2000 t/a?

And for the questions about patching, its a necessity of wrapping. Vinyl has its limits. You learn to cut and piece so that its invisible from 2 feet away. This wrap was more difficult because of the pattern, but got it all to look good. Also mostly wraps all around so that rear facing diagonals on d/s wraps to right facing on trunk and rear and etc.
Do you guys have a more pain in the *** front bumper?

Looks good though. Hope you dont plan on driving much. I expect you will have many road debrit damage. If someone brushes past your car with as much as a pants button it will scratch off.

Try doing that with paint.
Most films are warrantied for 5-7 years against fading, cracking, peeling, etc. When you're ready to sell peel off the wrap and you have a mint paint job underneath.
2500 might get you a custom paint job - on your hood.

Not trying to knock you. You have talent and good product. but Vinyl is a "skin" It will scratch off much easier than paint.
Paint can last over 30+ years if taken care of and painted with at least decent paint. My 98 Z has stock paint and it still looks brand new 13-14 years later.

Stock is the key word. Unless you're dropping 10K on a paint job you'd be lucky to get 5 years out of paint, esp custom paint with layers. I've seen too many 3K paint jobs that weren't prepped adequately and fail too soon.
This vinyl doesn't require lamination, its not sublimation printing. 3M warranties against environmental hazards for 5 years with 1080. Its more durable than you think. If you were to scratch a pole or tree, there is no color proofing and printing, just put a new piece on.
Also he ended up dropping 900 in materials because we did the trunk and spoiler in one piece to line up the diagonals.
I'm not knocking paint, both have their place, but for the average Joe with a big imagination, you can't beat vinyl.
FYI they also offer films premade in tons of colors including matte, brushed and metallic options.
Attached is a 300 in brushed titanium and flat black.

Funny my previous 92 Z28 had a $3,200 dupont paint job (3 coats base, 2 coats clear) with minor body work that looked great for about 9 years before an old man fell asleep and hit/totalled my car parked on the side of the road. Also i have no garage my car was out in open air all the time. of course i detailed it on a normal basis.
I understand where you are coming form but not everyone has access to a vinyl shop (to install or fix)/ or a good installer (like you). If vinyl was sooo good, why dont car manufacturers use it instead of paint?
Heres a few pics of my old car about 7 years after it was re-painted.

One color and lucky. I know damn well on a car forum I'm not the only one thats seen a lot of POS paint jobs. Like I said, not saying paint doesn't have its place, but possibilities are limitless with vinyl, even when your wallet isn't.
Any to be unbiased, I've seen a whole lot of POS wrap jobs. Like any industry, theres some people that buy a printer and all of a sudden they're a wrapper.

That turned out great. I like it. I ended up buying a roll for $160 to wrap my bike in the same stuff (darker shade though) since some disrespectful sh*thead decided to key up every fairing all the way through past the primer. It was my first time hearing of this stuff let alone working with it and after having done so, i have to give props to the guy that wrapped your car. That looks flawless.
Heres a couple of my attempt with the vinyl. its not perfect and i have a couple spots i still need to address but i have to say the stuff looks a lot better in perosn than the pics let on.
What color wrap did you end up doing on the TA? For anyone else interested in comparison, the wrap i used is the black. From a distance it looks satin black, you get a bit closer and in you start to see the weave. closer still and in the light it looks gunmetal and obviously the color shifts depending on the direction of the light.
