Default powder coating LS6 intake

Hey guys! I do powder coating from time to time for people here locally. A good friend of mine is wanting me to powder coat his LS6 intake. I have some ideals on how I might do it. But I have never done one before and don't want to mess it up.

Has anyone done this before personally on here? If so and if it is not to much trouble could you tell me how to do it? Thanks to all in advance!

Yeah I know it can be done too. I remember back last year sometime they was 2 or 3 on here that done it. I just cant find the treads on them. I am trying to save him money if I can find out how to do it. Being he is a really good friend of mine. Rather than tell him to send it to some of these places that does it. Hopefully they will tune in. But I will probably just end up painting it for him.

I've done dozens at this point. Application method is nothing like when coating metal obviously. My honest advice to anyone when I've been asked for tips is don't start with an intake you care about. Pick up a couple of junk Ls1 intakes to screw with first. There is zero room for error when coating these and if you mess up, they really can't be stripped like metal parts. Chemical stripping or blasting neither are terribly safe for the intake, so you are kinda stuck with your results.

I did mine at 350 degrees for 30 minutes...........4 times........ untill there was enough to fully coat it. Looking back, get it warm first so the powder can somewhat stick to it. It must be super clean inside or it will smoke like crazy the entire time. I PC mine white. Came out great, but you do only have 1 shot at this.

I did the same thing as that guy, but i took a square of thin metal and drilled 50 holes in it, dropped all the bolts onto that sheet and PC all the bolt heads while I was at it. You only need to ground the sheet while spraying.
