Very true. How many coats did you do? On my ceta I did 4 and followed the directions on the can. Did you get any runs if you put it on heavy at first? I kept it light so it didn't run if this stuff runs.

this stuff is really easy to lay down. if you get a run wipe it real quick and hit that spot only next time to fill it. make the next coats real thick and dont wait long in between coats to fix. this stuff melts a good amount of the previous coat under it so even if you mess up the next coat will usually fix it.

Please tell us how you did that.
sorry I didn't see this post. I bought some pin stripes at autozone. the one with the thin stripe, and then a thicker stripe on top of it.

Run the pin stripe with the thicker stripe towards the center of the "black bird stripe". Stick the stripe on the back of the hood towards the windshield and eye balled the stripe along the curve of the hood.

I bought a bunch of "ram air" stickers on ebay for cheap. Peel off the ones that were on the car because they are too difficult to take off when the paint is wet.

Wax under the ram air really well
Now LIGHTLY install your new ram air decal. like barely push down on them

Now run masking tape along the outer strip of the pin strip and setup your news paper along the outside of the stripe.

Do one side at a time.

Do not do this in the sun.

spray a nice light first coat.

next coat will be as thick as you can go before you get a run.

As soon as you see the paint form a skin this should be like 2 minutes.
you wait too long you will not get a sharp line you made with the tape.
you don't wait enough your paint will bleed over the line.

Once you think the paint is at the right state, you have to do this all really fast.

Start tearing all the masking tape and pin striping off without it touching the paint. then take a razor if you got kahoonas or a pastic wedge or something and peel the ram air out.

Like i said you have to hustle during that part. but you'll be left with a nice stripe than peels off when you're done with it.

i thought of doing stripes with plasti dip. i have a roll of matte black vinyl.

i'm not good at using tape with plastidip though. i tried it and messed it up. the tape peels the plastidip off when i remove it. i think i read i'm suppose to remove the tape while the plastidip is still wet. any advice?

Yes you are supposed to peel the tape off while it is still wet otherwise the platidip will just peel off. When you peel it off make sure you peel it away from what you are painting and not straight away from it otherwise you can make it peel like that too.

Guys check out dipyourcar.com. you can get custom colors buy it by the gallon. The offer silver and gold metallic colors as well as a glossifier to make the plasti dip gloss rather than matte.

I've used this stuff on my Impala wheels which are polished and it looks great. Cleaning helps for sure, and the many imperfections and curb rash I have on the wheels are hard to spot with the plastidip application.

I used 2 cans for my wheels about 7 months ago, and they're still holding up pretty well. The flaking has started around the lip of the rim, but not so much on the surface of the rim itself.

I have a set of chrome AR rebels that are pitted on the lip... starting to wonder if it would do a good job of covering that up.

Just plasti-dipped the CETA mod. I have a few runs, which I figure cant be fixed. It looks good though, you cant see the imperfections unless you are right on top of it.
