I didn't realize how popular plasti-dip was getting until I saw someone on another board did their wheels with it. I kind of want to do some flames on my car with it now

Well the first to things that come to mind for this stuff is to protect my rear bumper at the track during burnouts and for my fenders when I have my cam installed to protect the paint =)

Hmm...been wondering, will this stuff keep rubber off the fenders from burnouts or will the hot rubber melt through it? Anyone want to try it out for all of us so we don't have to waste our time to find out ourselves?

I love mine, the eibach kit is nice, only thing i dislike is the rears being bald as Vin Diesel havent had the money yet to replace them, but ill be going with BFG F1s for the rears and nitto invos for the fronts. hopes and dreams lol

Can you paint over it with regular paint? Like if someone used this on a set of wheels and wanted the "glossy" look just use plasti dip and then a can of regular gloss black over that? I shouldn't see why not but also raises the question to can it still be removed?

This stuff is ment to be temp. I wouldn't wast paint putting over the plasti-dip. Plus it might do something funny like bust the paint or something, plus the texture isnt smooth enough for gloss paint. I wouldn't try it.

jmurray, I will test it tomorrow on a piece of bare aluminum sheetmetal. I'll be using the black plasti-dip then a gloss paint from a rattle can.
