Can this stuff be used for masking? Automotive or other wise? For example: To paint the backside of my wheels black but leave the visible side chrome or silver, could I spray the visible side with this, clean the edge and back side then paint the backside of the wheels? Or will other paints eat thru it?

Plasti-dip for tint!
Love using this stuff sprayed a bunch of stuff including my taillights lightly. Light output seems to be about the same, even in the daytime. Took no more than 5 minutes and looks pretty good (although it looks "gritty").
Before, After
Close up
Running lights on
Brake lights on
Reverse lights on
Emblem painted
Front of hood had been sprayed with blue spray paint and not cleared so I blacked that out as well as the indents in the hood

Just thought I would contribute to the thread. painted around the headlights to see what it would look like. I did both sides a little different. On the passenger side I stopped it where the front bumper meets the fender. On the driver's side I continued it all the way up where the fender meets the hood. I like the driver's side better. This was done in like 30 minutes and I know the lines aren't real straight but you get a good idea. Sorry for the crappy cell pics.

LeftySS's black headlight areas look great. I like the driver's side.
On the Firebird above, try painting that area between the two foglights/turn signals black.

Anyone here by any chance plasti dipped some c5 wheels on the outsides of the spokes?
I just painted the inner sides of an old 18 inch mustang fan blade wheel I've got, and really liked how it came out. Not bad for a 10 or 15 minute job total with taping it up, missed one tiny little spot where a lugnut would cover it up, but this stuff looks great.
Really easy as hell to use.
Makes me want to do the outsides of my c5 wheels kind of like how machined face wheels usually get it on the outsides.

You fellas that have done your lights, did you just spray on one coat and leave it at that? Did you spray it a little faster than any paint you may have sprayed over? I would love to black out all my lights... and rims....
