PD'd my roof a few weeks ago but took it off less than 24 hours later due to the black color speeding up the infamous roof bubbling issue A TON after only 3 hours in the sun. Took some pics of it first. Then peeled it off and popped the tiny bubbles with a sharp razor blade.

Will upload pics of the car with the black roof later today.

I use that stuff for electrical work. From the brush-on kind though it seemed like it had far less adhesion than the aerosol stuff in this thread. You masked it off and brushed it on, right? Does it even come in aerosol?

I may have to steal your wheel idea.
First time I saw your car I fell in love.

anyone have advice on how to get the plastidip easier? i started taking mine off my rims a month ago and i'm still not done. it breaks off every half inch. should i spray a thicker coat on and maybe it'll come off in bigger pieceS? i only did a a couple light coats. i even tried a pressure washer and it didnt even get it off. thinking i need a higher psi. think the one i tried was 2000. getting tired of messing with it.

you need to have at least three coats. i did the first coat light, then sprayed the next ones on heavier. if you do light coats, it doesnt bond together very well and is a pain in the *** to get off. i did my hood for fun and learned the hard way, took 5 hours to get it completely off. then sprayed an extra fender differently with 5 coats, came off almost in one piece.

yea, i would try a some sort of buffer or something like that. i cant remember exactly what we used to get the adhesive off the paint when i replaced the emblems on my car. but it didnt hurt the paint and took the adhesive right off.
