Very few companies make a quality fiberglass hood nearly as close to OEM. Years ago I bought a 93-97 Ram Air hood from Suncoast. I test fitted it before it was painted and fitment was fairly good but certainly not a OEM fit. Well after a few days on the car I started noticing during hot days in the sun the hood was flexing / warping about a half inch at the front corners but once the hood was cool the hood formed back into shape.

Moral of the story is get a factory WS6 hood if you want quality with no issues. You'll wind up spending about the same money or more going with aftermarket after it's prepped and painted.

Guys, what do you think about Trufiber and Extreme Dimensions WS6 hoods (carbon fiber and fiberglass)? Are they OK?
What other good WS6 hoods are there, besides VFN?
Do all WS6 fiber hoods come with grills?

Just installed a VFN cowl on my 98z. 2 hours of pre fitting and 2 hours post fitting, and it is as damn near perfect as you can get!

got a buddy with a trufiber said fitment issues weren't too bad. No, not all hoods come with grills.

I wonder why they don't? I would think at least front grills are mandatory... If they're not there then it's just 2 openings?
I just thought about all the water and dirt coming right on top of the engine through these openings and it made me think whether I want them at all...

Because it's considered an accessory they can sell and make money on yet, knowing you need it.

What about water/dirt flying inside in a traffic on a rainy day? I guess that might be a problem

ive been on the search for a hood since my accident on valentines day and it seems vfn makes one of the closest to oem hoods for the ws6. could be wrong but from the days of searching and reading the forums it seems they are decent.

It seems that both Duraflex and Trufiber hoods don't come with grill inserts. Duraflex even doesn't have openings from what I have seen??

Also, do Trufiber hoods really weigh 35#? That's 10# more than VFN hoods, weird
