Ok great. Post more photos. I'm starting my swap now also. I'm going to try to get a sail panel off a 94 Z28 tomorrow. My 1999 is bubbling. Let me know what to do with the bump stops. Does an lt1 intake attach easily ? I haven't got any parts for that aspect yet. What do you recommend ?

some of progress I've made and some of the issues I've had to correct.
I have fixed all the fender alignment issues but one, that being the hood and making sure the lines for the hood are straight. I have to reroute the wiring harness that runs on top of the passenger side strut tower, and the air hose that runs on top of the drivers side strut tower and the hood will be latch completely down.

Thanks for the advice on the bump stops. I do not know if I should drill from the engine bay out. Or from outside towards the engine bay ? The weld spots aren"t visible for me to figure this out.

You can see the spot welds easily. Look from inside the engine bay, you'll see flat circular areas about 1/4" in diameter. I used a cheap spot weld bit from Harbor Freight to cut through the bracket. There are 8 of them, 4 on the fender side, 4 toward the front bumper/radiator support.
Looking good, Big. I bet you had a hell of a time aligning those fenders just right, I know I did.

Thanks. I looked at my car this morning and I can see. I could not see them at the junk yard. Big Z Please share info on the wiring mod. I slashed both hands so I don't have strength to figure this out to see if their is slack in the wiring, or the hose on the opposite side.

Thanks Big Z. I read through all of Spartans wire mod threads. I went to bed last night happy that I knew how to resolve the wiring issue. I took the lazy way out today and moved the wires to the opposite side of the hood strut. Looks like Big Z will have the baddest modified ls1.

wow lol people and there opinions.Just so everyone knows, this is a forum based on people that love cars. So your opinions do not matter, The 4th gens are all very good looking cars, lt1 or ls1 they are very good looking and agressive looking. btw love your cars, sorry just read through your build and all i read was people saying that they think or that they know that certain years are better then others. i thought about swapping a lt1 front end awhile back a 93 z went up for sale guy was selling it cheap like 350$ but i was too late. good luck man keep us posted

So true about the opinions. I like all the 4th gens. Saw someone mention above that their least favorite are the formulas. My favorite is a black LT1 Formula with a T/A spoiler and LT1 WS6 Hood. I have one, but it is just my daily driver/beater. Also have several others including a sebring silver 97 SS, and a 98 Z28. ]
My only opinions I'd argue as being nearly a facts about these cars are: 98+ wipers are tons better......and 97+ consoles are much more convenient. LOL

I pulled the nose today. I put the hood on yesterday and it won't close. I moved everything. It looks like the hood is hitting the cowl. Do I need to change the cowl. I see big Z from the picture you posted you changed the radiator and condenser cover. I was wondering today if I needed to change it. Thanks for the pictures.
