6LE Roof Install Problems?
#22
Yes the body shop was doing it right. We got a used roof from the wrecker and compared the one from 6LE and the aftermarket roof from them was smaller and not even shape the same. For the hood I got it from them as well from the same manufacture as the roof sail panel.

Had my carbon fiber one installed yesterday, get some pics tomorrow or this weekend and post up here too. Mine fit well, but was larger than stock. Im pleased.... but its not perfect, 95% or so. Better than teenage pizza face though.

This worries me, especially since I'm about to start looking to replace my sail panel. I may go to the junkyard, if there has been a lot of fitment issues with the aftermarket ones.

A few improper installs? There are no instructions with the product. They claim it is the exact same as the original, but it is thinner. They claim that because they are all made in the same mold, they have to be the same, ignoring the fact that it is hand laid fiberglass, and temperature and humidity alone are enough to turn out a different product.
The 6LE roof bar looks terrible on my car, and most every one I've seen.
6LE won't allow negative reviews on their website either. No way for buyers to know they are taking a huge risk with their car.

I remember reading somewhere that when you install the roof panel, you have to start in the center and work your way out to the ends, you cannot start at one end and expect t to line up properly, or so I read.
