Original SS cars, hood, spoiler paint does not match

I do not know if this is just on the Hugger Orange cars or not. A few other Orange cars I have seen have the same problem as mine. The hood and spoiler put on by SLP after the car was built does not match the cars factory paint. Mine are a little darker Orange. Any other color SS's have this same problem? It seems like I have seen some pewter cars that is was noticable on too.

My silver SS, bought off the lot, is "close but not perfect"
in the color match, this can be seein in certain lighting
conditions. Add the fading that happens to colored paints,
and it's not surprising at all on an orange or red car.

very common to have that look even from the factory. my father-in-laws white ws6 is the same way. the mouldings look a creamy white , the bumpers and spoilers look a bit whiter than the rest of the car. his car sits in a garage all year round , never had any painting done on his car.

it happens... not a gm issue specifically but i know for a fact that there are 17 different shades of Dark shadow gray on the Svt lightnings and cobras, as well as regular *** mustangs...
its all in when they mixed the paint... and who the mixer was...

I really don't mind considering it's like that from factory. That and mine isnt super noticable..
If mine matched perfectly, I'd actually question it. At least this way I know it hasn't been touched.

My 98 WS6 had a hood about 4 shades darker red. On Trans Ams the spoiler matches because it was painted with the car. The ram air hood was painted seperately and therefore does not match worth a ****. I had mine repainted because is was fading quicker than the rest of the car and it bothered me already. Best $250 bucks I've ever spent.

I owned a Marauder before I owned my SS, you wanna talk about Ford botching a paint program? Just go poking around on the Marauder forums, you'll find plenty of folks that are less than happy about their clear coats fading away and paint bubbling through. The consistency of that occurring within such a small run of cars is what's really mind-blowing.
