agreed you definetley don't want rear quarter panel damage one these cars.... if you got fll coverage then id call up insurance and see what they say if not your probably just going to have to deal

I'm not sure what happened but, fender benders no longer exist, now it's more like, fender bender... your screwed.
Things like this shouldn't have ever got so expensive. Have you ever imagined totaling a car because you accidently back into a truck... Christ.
Sorry I get a little heated on this subject!
And I know it is a quarter panel not a fender but still, a simple body panel should be a stupid easy fix.

I really don't think that would total your car. The cost of repair has to be anywhere from 80% to 100% of the value of your car depending on which insurance company. Quarter panels for these are pretty easy to find(salvage) and go for anywhere from $100 to $250, which isnt bad. And they aren't hard to replace. Only takes a couple of hours. Just from a glance I would estimate this would cost about $3k to fix at my shop. That is doing it right(blending adjacent panels, lifetime warranty, etc...). I'm sure there are plenty of shops that would do it cheaper.
