Default Fenders pushed out by lift, easy fix or not?

Hey guys, I was just curious if anyone else has seen this before. Im thinking its from one of those sub frame lifts. My right and left fender has been pushed out. Not sure how to go about fixing this. Its maybe half a inch on both sides. I talked to the shop and they said they didnt do it. Oh well. I waited to long to mention anything due to my job and me not ever being home. what do you guys think.

Not really sure what i am suppose to be looking at, you say your fenders got pushed out? the fenders look fine to me in the pictures you posted.
You swapped tires and rims so maybe they are too narrow and tuck to much in the fender well and now you think that the fenders are pushed out?

Look under the back of the front fender under the car by the leading edge of the doors you will notice about a 10inch long tab that has 2 13mm bolts them part of the fender/pinch weld, pliers or a rubber hammer and roll the lip back to the center of the car. The lip is rolled outward causing the fender to bow out

take a heat gun heat up the bottom plastic tab where the bolts go in. Take some vice grips and slowly pull the fender bracket and the plastic tab back in place so the fender looks normal.

This happens to me every once in awhile when I use a lift, I just take a 2x4 and a hammer to it. There's metal behind it and it bends the metal out if your not careful with the lift. Might not be the best but it always works for me. Here's the tab: Mines about due for another bending after I used a floor jack

Yup, if you look at the owner's manual, the 4th Gen's are not supposed to be jacked on those fender mounts, they bend and break easily. I've had both of my fender tabs broken by a shop when I bought new tires for it in the past, and had to go through the replacement process with the shop covering the cost. If the fender tabs are broken below then you will need to replace the fenders. If they're only bent, you might be able to pull them back into spec.

Good luck.

The one time this happened on mine, I simply clamped the tab with a pair of vice grips and pushed with my foot until it lined up. No jack, no other tools, no problems. I just used my leg because I was wearing one of my good shirts and didn't feel like laying down to get leverage.

That car looks too damn good to be driven with bobo fenders.

yeah, this happened at the shop. they shot a screw threw my fender to try and keep it in place somewhat, ill probably take it some where to see what they can do. Id rather have a body shop screw it up so its covered, if I screw it up it will be on me and ill be pissed

bodyshop probably wont cover it either since that plastic can be very brittle as old as these cars are getting. best bet is to get a heat gun and warm up that entire tab and just bend it back. its not hard to do at all. your lucky if they arent cracked already.

mine got pushed out by the chevy dealer about a month after I bought the car new from the same dealership in 2001. ...yea they "didn't do it" either. idiots. never went back. I didn't heat mine just hammered on it with a dead blow and a short length of 2x4.
Did I read correctly that the shop that said they "didn't do it" put a screw through your lower fender to bring it back in? That would be proof enough for me to drag the owner out and say "where did that screw come from then?" I was too stupid or stubborn at the time to take it back to let them screw something else up.

I've always wondered why the fenders had that tab to mount to instead of a flat spot so that it couldn't get bent up in the first place.
