help me identify my '00 z28's color
I am trying to find some dupli-color touch up paint to touch up a few areas where a z28 emblem was removed, taking some paint with it. Can anyone help me identify what color my car is? I bought one dupli-color, which, if the color of the bottle is compared to the car, is identical..but when applied the paint is too gold. The paint I got is dupli-color's GM 516 Gold Metalic.
So, since that isn't correct, which one is correct? Is my car categorized as silver and not gold? Here's a photo. and the vin # is 2G1FP22G3Y2160873 if that can help anyone identify the color. Thanks!

....and yes I am currently looking for matching rims haha

btw, i just google'd "GM Sebring Silver Metallic", and my car definitely isn't as silver as the cars that come up in the image search. It really is more goldish. it's like pewter.. so hence my difficulty finding the color
here's another pic to try and help..

It may also be lpm. Light pewter metallic. It was a somewhat rare color in 2000. The vin tells you nothing about color. Your paint code can be found on the lower left hand corner of the rpo sticker inside the drivers door. It will begin with "WA" then have a series of numbers and letters after it.

Looks like Pewter to me.
And Light Pewter Metallic IS Pewter...and it's not uncommon at all, actually the 2nd most common color in 2000.

As the owner of both a Light Pewter Metallic car as well as a Sebring Silver Metallic car, I can assure you that the color in those pictures is NOT silver. It's Pewter. Very common color.
RPO 11U for touch up paint.
Here is a direct comparasion of the two colors:

you guys are all awesome. Light pewter metallic sounds like exactly what it is. I guess it's just that when I was going through pep-boys' dupli-color booklet, I couldn't find any pewter colors for 2000 year. Hence my incorrect selection. I'll probably head over to my chevy dealership tomorrow and get some touch up paint there if it's $10 or less

btw, what wheels are on the LPM car? 17 inch?

Yes, 17x9.5" ZR1/SS-style reproductions, with the 56mm C4 offset.
The silver car has the SS width & offset version (17x9", 50mm offset).
Pewter was offered from '99-'02 on the F-bodies (a handful of '98 pewter cars were also reported to have been built at the very end of '98 production so that the color would be available to the public with the first run of '99s - but these cars were initially used by GM employees and not sold new to the public).

called local chevy dealer...they said they don't keep it in stock, and will take 5-6 working days to arrive for a sum of $15+tax.
magically, my car doesn't need the touch up paint anymore! haha. Going back to pep-boys to re-check if duplicolor has the right color

is the rpo 11u the same code duplicolor would use, or would theirs have a different code? I hate to ask all of these questions :-/
