Best way to paint fender vents
All,
I want to paint my fender vents. Is there a preferred method for doing this? For example, should I buy a used set, paint them and put them in or tape around my existing ones and paint them?
Thanks!

Daniel, Meckeard lists having an 02' firehawk, which likely has FACTORY lower fender vents. Always good to list what ya got in a post.
Unless they get molded in place with panel adhesive, Always best to paint fender & vents separately. There is always some movement, which can cause any paint bonded between the 2 parts to crack & flake.
The 79 z-28 vent in the pic was painted separately, the 2nd time around.

Sorry, I should've mentioned my year. Like jlcustomz said, it's an 02 Firehawk. I've seen some nice painted vents. Since they're on the small side and lower on the fender, I think it accentuates other colors on the car. In my case, I'd like to paint them white to match the color of the word "Firehawk" on each door.
