do you have your panels yet? I saw your post on IG, can't wait to see your car with them on! are you planning on molding them?

i wish they would come out with wide front fenders too

I just received my panels this evening. Quality seems nice with beveled edges. Someone took their time on the molds and the layup of the quarters. This Friday I have a day off sceduled so I’m hoping to get a chance to check fitment.

Yes they will be molded/blended into the body. I put my order in late Thursday of last week and they arrived yestersay evening. 3 business days I can’t complain about. I need to unwrap the passenger side to double check the part itself. I’ll update later this week.

oh wow, that is much quicker than i thought it would take. i plan on using hardware with rivnuts in the body to install mine to keep it cheaper and for something different. i'm wondering how the gas door will work too, haven't seen any up close pics of that.

Cancam99ss and hokeplaya05 what are you guys plan for what wheel well lips?

I am going to cut the quarter lips on mine because I rolled mine years ago. I’m hoping I can cut and pull and fab a new extended lip to meet the new flared quarter to fit my 18x13 with 335’s or 345’s. Hoping the 13 wide wheels will fit the well as I don’t feel like buying new barrels again.

On a couple cars I worked on ,, not GM, that style of fuel cutout, you just cut the fuel filler hose, and put a extension with 1.5" steel tubing or whatever matches in to allow you to move the filler neck to the new body part.

my plan is to cut the outside fender skin to where i want it for wheel clearance, then cut slits in the inside fender well (see pic) and bend them up to meet the outside and weld in place and fill as necessary then cut away the access. I'm also planning on cutting the fender lips on the over fender (same idea of rolling fenders) so i can tuck the wheel behind it, it will be open behind the over fender. hopefully that all makes sense lol

Makes complete sense. That’s my plan as well I’m just waiting for a little nicer weather.

Other news I must say these panels fit extremely well and I fully expect minimal body work to get them molded in. Gaps between original quarter and wide body panels themselves are pretty tight. The body line matches as well. I deal with composites and classic cars everyday. For the money it’s damn good deal.

life got in the way for me, but now have a much larger garage/workspace and once I figure out heat in said garage I'll be going full force on getting my car back on the road for this spring which will include fitting over fenders if all works out.
