Default Reliable Source For 8774 Bright Red Touch Up Paint

I've ordered touch up paint 3 times from 3 different sources for my 00 WS6 Convertible and every time it arrives the color is wrong.

The car is Bright Red or Torch Red depending on the source but so far I've received Maple Red twice and what I would call an Ox Blood Red. DupiColor is totally wrong, one was a GM bottle that might have been mislabeled and Micro Auto was the Ox Blood. I only have a few chips that I want to fill in.

The previous owner had used probably the auto parts store DupiColor Maple Red on couple of chips and I'd like to redo those as well. Has anyone successfully ordered this color on line or do I have to spend a fortune getting it custom mixed? Also is there any possibility that ASC used a different shade when repainting after the convertible conversion? Thanks

Your car is 24 years old and I assume its had some sun time.
I would take to a body shop you trust and have them "shoot" your paint with their laser paint gun. It will spit a couple of possible paint combos that will very close but may need a bit of adjustment to be spot on.
If you use a single stage paint it won't need clear coat but may not match as well as base coat clear coat.

ASC didn't do the convertible conversion - these were done by GM. Only thing painted by ASC on your car would be the WS6 hood (assuming it's an original hood).

The correct paint color for a Bright Red (RPO 81U) 4th gen is, in fact, U/WA 8774. Maple Red (RPO 44U, U/WA 408G) is a completely different color code so I have no idea why they would be sending that one.

I've used AutomotiveTouchup.com for proper matching touch-up paint in the past, specifically based on GM color codes. Excellent match for the Code 14 Cortez Silver on my Nova.

TJ and SJ apparently you guys have missed the point of this inquiry. Anything would be better than the Maple Red however I'm trying to avoid the cost of having custom mixed paint. Last time I had that done was in 2018 for a different car. It cost me roughly $75 for a pint of 2 stage of which I used a half dozen brush dips if that many. I recently tossed the cans of semi hard paint and clear that had to be 7/8ths full each. Trying to avoid that waste of money again.

RPM thanks for the heads up I'll look into them. I understand that those are 2 completely different colors and can't understand why they sent them to me. I got screwed on the first one because I opened it the other 2 I was able to return.

I've had my 2002 TA since purchased new and it's the same bright red... 81U/8774 as noted by RPM WS6. I've ordered from the same place he suggested and it was a perfect match on my car.
