Bubbling Sail Panel Issue for Dummies
Good luck. I had my car looked at last month, the guy at the dealer said he'd talk to the factory rep. He never called me back, I called today, he asked if I was the original owner, I said no. He said he'd call back.
Called back and said GM won't do it, and it's going to be $820.
This is bullshit, the car is a 2002 with 38,000 miles and is garage kept.
Shouldn't this be covered under the 6 year/100,000 mile rust through warranty? Sure it's not rust but it's the same thing---- something eating through the paint. It's got little bubbles all across the panel.

It is the glue that is bad.
It works it's way up through the paint.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I have small bubbles on the passenger side which i first noticed last summer, the problem is i live in the UK my g/f is the original and only owner 02 purchased August 02 with under 16000 miles, car is washed & polished weekly wiped down with instant detailer after every drive and put under cover!
OK guys what are my options and where do i start considering we imported the car from the US, and the dealer that brought it over new, is over 200 miles away.
I'm guessing there's probably quite a few people in the UK that bought their cars officially through UK Vauxall/chevrolet dealers that don't even know about the TSB
The TSB says to replace the sail panel (part 10254708) and two appliques.
That's what they did with mine. Apparently that old glue never comes out?
Was your paint/body shop willing to do that for free?
