IMO-U-POL High Gloss Clear. Best High Gloss ever made (my experience indicates you will have to do little or no polishing). Recently, I have done alot of painting and I recommend TCPGlobal because I have never ever gotten a bad can of paint from them; and, their prices are good. 3-M Rubbing Compound, Maguiars N. 7 Show Car Glaze.

Pics of mine. Sanded taillights with 320, sprayed about 8 light coats. Let dry, scuff with red scoth brite pad, then about 6 coats of clear. Turned out pretty good, still need to wetsand and polish.

I agree on the sticky request. I couldnt have wrote it better my self. They turned out great! It is very easy to do like you said, you just have a lot of down time. I did my 02 F150's headlight and tail lights, before I sold it. Then I did my blinkers and corner lights on my Z.

i have a 2008 greystone avalanche getting painted this week. if the body shop sprays my tails, will the light shine through the same as if i used the vht night shades??

I used acrylic lacquer in the can for my top coat that you buy at auto zone, and the finish came out nice and glossy. use only a light coat of vht nightshades it gets dark quick but looks great with no visibility issues. what i like about acrylic lacquer is it dries quick and has almost no re coat time

This might be a dumb ? But I did my lights and I wet sanded 1st with 1500 the sprayed m put them on and the sanding marks showed through and it looks like crap anyone else have this happen
