what color is your paint?

Chevrolet codes can be confusing! For example, the color code 96/WA8867 listed on our site can be shown on your vehicle as 96U or 96L or 8867 or WA8867. Often there will be a BC CC before the color code. This stands for Basecoat/Clearcoat. The U in the paint code means the Upper Color and the L means the Lower Color. Two tone vehicles will have each color coded, i.e. 96U and say 36L. Also, it could be 8867L or 8867U.

1998 Chevrolet Camaro Locate Color Identification Plate FAQ'S.
Color Color Description Color Code
Arctic White Clearcoat 10/WA9567
Silver Metallic Clearcoat 13/WA9021
Sebring Silver Metallic Clearcoat 13/WA9566
Navy Blue Metallic Clearcoat 28/WA352E
Bright Green Metallic Clearcoat 31/WA319D
Black Clearcoat 41/WA8555
Sport Gold Metallic Clearcoat 63/WA380E
Mystic Teal Metallic Clearcoat 79/WA320C
Flame Red Clearcoat 81/WA8774
Bright Purple Metallic Clearcoat 88/WA327D
Cayenne Red Metallic Clearcoat 96/WA122B
Medium Dark Neutral (Interior Color) 52/WA9648

Might help if you simply state what year car you have, ...
All I've seen so far is that you say it's light pewtrer metallic.
You know you can simply supply your VIN number to any knowledgable auto-paint supplier & they can find the proper code.

Yes... That paint code designates Light Pewter Metallic on GM vehicles. It looks like Paintscratch.com just forgot to say "Light" in their description.

What do you need your paint code for. Any paint store should have a paint chip book. All they need to know is your year and make. Then they can take the paint chips and match it to yours to give you your color by part number. You do have to bring them your car though. I know this because in my shop we had a couple 05 silverado's come in. They where blue but the paint code said they where gold. Thank god for the paint chips other wise the owner would have gotten gold panels
