I have the same problem. Only i had just had my hood painted and was on my way home from Naperville when a dump truck dropped some rocks going the opposite way and chipped my newly painted hood. I was pissed. So yeah im interested in any thoughts.

Yeah you can fix the rock chips but it will not be the same as stock. What you do is go to an automotive paint store and get your color matched with a profit and just order half a pint or whatever is the smallest amount they can give you. Sand around and in the rock chips with 800 grit sandpaper and just paint inside the rockchips with a paint brush. after doing that you get some automotive clear coat and just mix a little bit in a cup putting more cattalyst than clear so it can dry fast. Let it sit for a day and the next day wet sand with 1500 grit sandpaper(wrap the sheet of sandpaper around a paint stick so that you have a perfectly flat surface so that all you are sanding is the clearcoat that is above your original paint.) Once you are done with that you buff until you get your shine back with a buffer. Sorry it harder to explain but if you need to know anything else let me know. Hope that helps
