Default Swap from hard top to T-Top

Well, i reciently purchased a 97 camaro SS. And my last camaro had T-tops and i loved them. But this car has a hard top. I found some sites that show you how to turn it into a T-top car. I have 95 parts car in my shed that has T-tops so i don't need any parts. Do you see any down side to turning this car from a hard top to a T-top?

So you have a 97 SS hardtop, and you want to desecrate it with ttops? Thats gotta be a rare car to begin with, I vote leave it how it is.

My cars a ht also but got all the parts to do it sitting here, but not sure if I want to... its easy to do and if you have a parts car your ahead already. Lots of people will say dont do it, hard tops are rare... but go to sell one, whats everyone want? T-tops of course!!!

I buy hardtops on purpose. People that dont appreciate them shouldnt purchase them at all.

oh please people its his damn car, if he wants to chop it off and make it a vert thats his damn decision, i turned my car into a ttop because i got an awesome deal on it and it was about 2500 cheaper than any of the ttops i had looked at, not to mention the guy probably has spent money modding the thing that he can never recover by selling it.

OK I have a 97 SS also, and while T-Tops are a great idea, and seem very easy to install, don't do it. I'm the number one supporter of people who want to mod their cars and all, but being that the 97 is already pretty rare to see as an SS, it's even more rare to have it as a hardtop. I went through the same choice of doing it or not since my car is also a hardtop, but in the end, I'm not sure it's worth it.

I would leave it alone, or sell it for a car with t-tops. Don't ruin the value of that car.
