Default My hatch is BENT. Twisted body or twisted hatch???

so i have a few problems if anybody could help i would be most thankful. So i lost control and slamed my rear sideways into a curb now my axle is bent but the first thing i noticed when i got outta the car after the crash was that my rear hatch was up, So i go to close it and it barly closes, So now the side i hit the car on has a big gap and the other side a small gap. I tryed to fix it by taking the hatch off and trying to realign it but it only help at bit. Did i twist my body or did i just twist my hatch because it is a T-top so i don't know. hear are the pictures.

need more pictures of the quarter panel and damage to the rear end. You may have a slight sway to the rear frame rails, but it is hard to say w/out more pictures.

My guess is when you hit the curb the rear hatch was slammed sideways and bent the mounting bracket in the same direction. The bracket is weak and will easily bend sideways, just pull back the trim to reveal the bracket and take a block of wood and a hammer and knock it back to center. If its not off too far you might be able to simply loosen the two bolts and slide the latch sideways to re center it.

You can have a freind get into the trunk with a flash light and look to see how far the latch is off from the stricker while you carefully close the hatch.
