What paint for argent Z06 wheels?

What paint for argent Z06 wheels? I have argent("gunmetal" really lighter) colored Z06's on my TA, I was wondering what paint color and type is should use on my center caps, being that they are chrome. I want to paint the centercaps then put black or NBM if i can find them, firebird decals on them. Any ideas on prep for the chrome and painting would be appreciated.

Chrome is really hard to paint over and keep from chipping away. Use a good adhesion promotor in prep. There is one with a Bulldog on the front, I forget the name, but it's probably the best I've seen. Try to get as much of the chrome off as possible.
I would try to find some spare centers from a stock Z or painted aftermarket, maybe sell the chrome ones.

id sand with p180 with a DA, chew it up real good. As far as an adhesion promoter i like Pla-stick by Alsa Corp, way better than the bulldog. A little more expensive and harder to come by but way worth it lol.
