For the record:
Vince Piggins was the GM manager who was responsible for the original series of 302 cubic inch Z-28 1967 Camaros built for the then-popular Trans-Am road racing series. In a way, he was responsible for a lot of the things we take for granted today.
Fred Gibb was the owner of a relatively small Chevy dealership in La Harpe, Illinois, who convinced GM to offer the aluminum block 427 legendary ZL-1 combination in the 1969 Camaro. He partnered with the late Dick Harrell to create custom-featured Camaros and Novas for performance-minded buyers of that era.
They are both worthy of mention on such an impressive car.

I read that both Vince Piggins and Fred Gibb put the ZL1 together. But Vince Piggins wanted to make it more flashy, while Fred Gibb wanted it to be more stripped down.
