Default firehawk hood with stock nose?

I am trying to decide between the ws9 hood from VFN or a used firehawk hood. I have heard you can cut the nose to fit the firehawk hood, anyone done this. any pics of the process.

You must cut the nose to fit a firehawk hood. never seen it done but i know at least two inches need to be removed from the bumpercover where it meets up with the hood to make it fit. Same with the SLP Ram air H.O. hood.

VFN hood will bolt right up. no modification needed

I was looking for some pics of anyone who has cut the front to see how it turned out. I can get the firehawk soon, the VFN is a 6 week wait.

I'm not sure if mine was cut or was like this OEM but you can take a look at https://ls1tech.com/forums/paint-body-work/751061-bumper-hood-gap.html

I'm from northern virginia, we might be able to work something out, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my situation yet.

It's pretty easy. You can go look at your WS^ bumper and see right where it needs to be cut. A new sharp utility knife and some 320 grit sandpaper to smoothout the egge is all you need.
