Default How to remove scratch from tail light panel?

Hey guys,

I just got my car back from getting the rear quarters and rear bumper painted and I noticed there is a scratch along the entire lower part of the tail light panel. I am going to be taking it back to the shop (they must have scratched it when they buffed it) but was just wondering if this will be difficult to fix, if at all? It is a very light scratch, doesn't seemed to be cracked at all.

they are just going to use touch up paint and it will wash off the first time you wash the car have them use rubbing compound and get the scratch out and wait there and watch them to make sure that is what they do

Thanks for the info. Is the rubbing compound difficult to apply and remove? Can I do it by hand? If so, I might just try it myself?

Well, I tried the Meguiars PlastX and it didn't seem to help any. Maybe lightened up the scratch a tiny bit.

I guess it is. It doesn't seem that bad and it doesn't feel deep at all when I run my finger over it. I have not posted a pic before but here goes. I will try to make it a little bigger so you can see the scratch.
