Fenders Cancelled!!!!!!!!!!!
well for all of you guys that own a 1993 to 1997 camaro good luck getting original gm fenders. i went to order some from my work today only to find out that they cancelled production on all the fenders(didnt check 1998-2002). i didnt check the doors or anything but if they cancelled the fenders im sure soon will be the rest of the body parts. so our only hope now is to buy aftermarket or find nice used fenders.

That's a shame you can't get those new. Only chance is to get them from someone parting out, which is hard to find since most accidents are frontal collisions.
I'm glad 98-02 parts won't go out of production for another while but I dread the day. It's hard enough to find them at a decent price.

i work in a body shop so we have the mitchell crash books. they stupid thing is, is that it says in the books they still carry the parts and it shows the gm part number. its a current 2008 edition so i mean its not an old book. it just sucks you cant get um new anymore. my boss said they just cancelled them recently so oh well.

They have been cancelled for well over a year now, possibly 2 years. I have had several customer cars that needed fenders for the 93-97 Camaro and Firebirds and for at least a year I have had to find used ones. Even having the stealership where I get parts from ran their locator program and no other GM stealerships had any in their inventory and had not for quite some time. The bad thing about used fenders is that most of them have been butchered by bad bodyshops and must be stripped. I would not reccomend using generic plastic fenders, my guess is that they will fit like ****. Some of the generic parts fit well on other vehicles if they are steel but from past experiences I will never use an aftermarket plastic fender again. best of luck
