i love these threads, they always make me laugh. Ive been doing custom paint and body for years now, only high end, mostly porsche, ferrari, ect, ect.

#1 giving somebody a quote to paint a car over the internet is stupid. Plain and simple. Any GOOD body man will be able to tell you, flawless to you, isnt flawless to a good body guy. If i had a dime for every time somebody told me their car "only" had a ding, or was flawless, i would make trump look poor. Im sure i could find 20 imperfections on your car

#2 NO car is flawless from the factory, every car has waves and imperfections, im starting to do my ws6, and you wouldnt belive how wavy the hood is stock, its just bad casting because its done so fast. Even the expensive porsche body kits i do arent good quality.

#3 You have no idea what kind of work these guys do your talking to on here, you mean to tell me your goin to drive across the country, to meet some guy you talked to on the internet.. thats crazy, i would find a local shop, that you could walk around in, see their setup/work/ect this way if you ever have a problem you know who to take it to.

#4 last but not least, like pro- mo said, your not paying for the materials, your paying for the labor. If that seems like alot to you, take the car apart your self and put it back yourself, that, or go to maaco and be unhappy with there job. If you pay somebody for a 2000-3000 dollar job your gonna get one or two things, good body work, and **** bottom line paint, or terrible body work, and good paint. You choose, theres no way around it.

Heres a few cars i painted, these were no penny pinchers, and they got top of the line work, my cars regularly win best paint and body, no matter what or where they go

So you want to change colors which is cool, but if you don't do it right it will look like ***, the jams, all need repainted, I would do the engine also, with all that your talking some money, repainting is never as easy as just repainting.

Maybe you should sell your car and buy a blue car to start with....

just go get your $1500 paint job... and make you take pictures to show us.

if you get something your happy with for that price then GODD JOB, but doubt it will happen unless your expectations are super low! especially a color change. if you can see the old color anywhere thats just ooogly!
