hello all. i just purchase a oem ws6 hood. it was used. it feels lighter than my stock T/A hood. are the hood shocks for the stock hood to strong for the ws6 hood? i ask this because it sticks up on one side in the back and in the front..... what other ways are there to adjust the hood? what about adjusting the hood latch... it seems to hold the hood down to far... you really have to push on it to get it to latch, it seems like if that was looser it would sit up higher and more even....
any suggestions?
thanks

i dont think you need different hood shocks. to adjust the latching part move the stoppers up first and see if it latches and is at a set height. if it doesnt then adjust the hood latch but it can be a pain in the ***. there should be 4 stoppers, 1 in each corner of the hood adjust them up or down to get a good height change.

cool.. i'll look at it in the morning... the space between the hood and the quarter panels is even on both sides but the height is off on one side pretty bad and just a little on the other.

yeah it still sticks up alittle on the one side.. if i push itdownwhen its closed there is plenty of room underneath but it's not level like the other side is... it's not horrible but enough to bother me.

the problem is the back side then, when i did the ws6 front end swap on my 94 both sides stick up, you have to work with the hinges, you might need to pull out your dremel and make the back hole higher so that the front of the hood sits down more. Im planning on having my whole car repainted so i will just have the body shop finish the adjustments.

yeah you might have to do that. if the stoppers dont do the trick then do what was stated above. give the stoppers a try because if it works then you saved urself a lot of work.

i lowered the stopper all the way.... when the hood is close there is plenty of room for me to push the hood downin the front coner to make it even but it doesn't stay there. i need to lower the brackets or something.
