you can use dishwashing soap no bleach no abrasive(obviously) ive been professionaly painting cars for 14 years and done numerous show cars never had one problem some people have problems with certain things and they blame what theyre not familar with.you use whatever you want to feel safe with and good luck.

I use the same car wash soapy water I use to wash the car with.

Works like a charm, and haven't noticed any more scratches than were already there. Clay is, in fact, an abrasive object.
