I haven't played with it too much, I just remember it is very opaquing and comes out pretty fast.
My thoughts are durability, finish, and ability to overcoat with clear. I know some chrome paints if you put clear over it will tarnish the look.
This is going on my fast intake after everything is smoothed up a bit.

What were the reasons you didn't like it, durability, or just the way it looks on uneven surfaces? Granted I'm sure it will show every imperfection that exists on the substrate.

I thought I had read in the latest catalogue from Eastwood that they had a chrome paint in a rattle can as well as a can.
I found it... here you go:

Not sure how well it works, but might be another option for you.
Here's a video describing how to use it:

It DOES NOT last at all. I painted a few panels in my old grand prix, and they looked descent when sprayed on a good white primer, but after a few days, it looked almost like matte gray. I repainted them and went over with clear after that. The clear just made the chrome turn gray again, and i tried 3 different clears.

Hmm, i'm just trying to do something different with the intake really. A metal look to the intake would be really nice. Now I'm wondering if I should just paint it red with red FRC's...

There's a company that can chrome anything including plastics. They even do colored chrome and can put several different colors on the same piece ie flames, stripes, etc. PM me and I'll shoot you the link. Swat P.S. If you go to the site, check out the gallery, there is some SWEET A$$ stuff that they've done! Motorcycle helmets and all!
