Cutting the roof out of a Z06, my targa conversion project
#43
Weekend Update: Thanks so much to Joe, Mark and Rich for the help last night
Having three other people helping = getting lots done last night :yesnod:
We've been sanding, sanding, and yeah... um.... sanding. Got most of the sanding done with the panels on the car as they're more stable on the car. Got everything sanded except the nose last night and removed the rear bumper. Kept on sanding today and started removing other panels.
Rear off the car and most of it sanded
Door handles out and gas door off
Sanded the edges and hard to reach areas off the car
Another pic showing the nice flat yellow paint
Pulled the 1/4 off the car
On FRC/Z06's the front 3 screw holes are actually slotted so the 1/4 can be removed. This is done because the roof prevents access with any tools
That's all for now... sanding is borring and tedious :*****:
