Hit and run, on camera So friday night someone hit and ran my ws6 parked in front of my house. needless to say I am very upset about it. luckily there is a hotel with a camera across the street that shows my car clear as day, however they are saying that at night it is too dark to see anything. I find that hard to believe with all the lighting they have out there.
Anybody know if there is a way to inhance the picture?
The tape is still being reviewed as the car was there for 24 hours, and I'll tell my insurance company about it when they open in the morning. I hope to god I catch the SOB

you would need an original, undoctored photo to file criminal and civil charges.
but if you do get their license plate an they're stupid, you can always blackmail and tell them your going to the police

Well the picture is good during the day, should be able to make out the plate. But if at night I am hoping it is a delivery truck with a company name on it since it is actually the loading dock area that this happened at. Thanks for info tho
Same thing happened to me bro. The damn tapes at work are horrible so nothing was visible. I had the make, year and color of the car but no license plates. If the recording was done with crappy equipment, I doubt that the cops could do much to enhace the image. That **** got me mad, but keep calm. For the first week you'll be looking for the car I swear!
Good luck on finding the guy. It sounds like it might be your only hope.
I would think that if you found the car, you could match the painton their vehicle to the paint on yours, and yours on his, is the damage pretty bad?
I would definately see what I could do about finding the car. Assuming that the visual on the car is good enough.

Sorry to hear about this but your insurance company should cover it if you've got full coverage. Other than that the only thing you can do is keep an eye out for the type of car it was. Most people return to the scene.
