if you are goin to spray paint it, you might be better off leaving it alone, car looks clean

I did mine with krylon semi flat black. Looks perfect, but I took my time, redid it a buch of times, and was ****. A should would do fast, but mine is perfect for probably $50 in paint and parts (panel was 20 off ebay).

i would shave the "CAMARO" letters and the trunk lock, then sand off all paint, prime it and paint with satin finish. thats what i have planned and then ill see if i like the look.

As far as the tailights, I'm not big fan of blackouts.

As far as the panel, follow the write-up. I think we just wet sanded it really well then sprayed it with semi-gloss, several coats until it was even and smooth. We didnt clear it. Been almost a year and the paint is fine. Added stainless inserts, bowtie and SS. See sig pic for reference.

I also shaved the "camaro", and had originally used spray paint, but I wasn't happy with it. When I got the chance I painted it with the same paint that on the Z28 roof & mirrors, Much happier. I did prime & wet sand with 800 grit before shooting the color.
