That's all I do, though it takes me longer because I always have to unlock the t-tops first and I always lock them back up when I put them in place (maybe unless I'm just going to be gone for a short bit perhaps).

those tops are not going to break from crazy driving if they are in the back seat. I have had one come off going down the highway, still have it also. However I do understand what you are talking about. Shouldnt be to hard for you to fab up something to cover the t-top area. Hell use regular metal tubing and a tube bender and go to town. Then stretch some fabric over it or what ever you want.

,Get rid of the woofer box.... really it adds dead weight and the exhaust are sweet enough sound!

You don't have to use the key to keep them in. I've had my car for a month. in 30 seconds the tops are in the trunk i've been doing it because of rain possibilities.

There has been a carbon fiber top made but it didn't have provisions for seals.

I have wanted something like on the corvete above for my car. It kind of looks like a hardtop with the panels on, and without it has the t-top look.

Do what I do, bring a chick with you, when it's time to run in somewhere... send her in and you sit in the car. Works like magic until you **** off the lass and she leaves.

I'd be REALLY pissed if someone threw there McDonalds cup in thru my t-tops. Thats why I just put em back in. If I caught someone throwing a cigarette butt in, I'd start throwing lead. People just **** me off sometimes...I mean, how bad is it when we gotta have a discussion about **** like this? Someone nuke the world already and start with the prisons! Swat

On a side note.... and sorry to hijack, but has anyone tried painting the glass t-tops body color? could be an interesting look, could have two sets, one clear, one painted..

So I kind of skimmed through the post so sorry if this was already said....but where are you going to store these "look-a-like" tops????? The will take up more space and you still have to put pretty much the same effort into it than just put your t-tops on. Sometimes I just save some time and don't even lock my tops if I'm just going into a place. No one can see if they are locked or not unless they try to remove them.

I understand what you are saying because if you are just running in somewhere for a couple mins and dont want to put the ttops back on and then take them off again, but I don't think its worth it to put something else in. If I'm just running in somewhere real quick I put up the windows, but anything I don't want stolen in the glove box and lock it and lock the doors, I guess stuff can still be thrown in the car, but if you are that worried about it, put the ttops on or make something of your own I guess.
