Fantastic work. Just hope that new caulk doesn't do the same thing as the old.

Hey guys, found this tread and thought I should reply. Dealers still do these roof swaps under warranty. In fact I know a hard top V6 car getting one tomorrow. Service and body shop managers can and still do these replacements under good will sign offs if they feel you are good customers. Deal is you have to request it. Underline you have to request it.

Works at any delaer if you request it. Go to the service or body shop and request the repair. This is the crucial part, you have to request it from GM. The warranty period has expired for most f bodies on the roof campaign but managers have the ability to sign off on repairs if they feel you are a good customer. All I can say is these are still done all the time and it still surprises me on the cars they are willing to do it on. Hint. Be very nice, it will go a long way.

You are incorrect ......the dealership you are dealing with is loacted on fantasy island...or your daddy owns the dealership ... I work at a dealership and I could not get it done....GM is not spendning money on anthing that they do not have to at this time... it is up to the zone GM rep not the dealership....If in fact you get yours done would have to be considered a mericle in these days and times ... sorry I gotta call BS on this one...

If it is a miracle then praise the gods of fantasy island in the land of BS. Everytime I think this campaign is done I get another run of roofs to replace. Also still doing the c5 coupe rear hatch replacements under warranty for bubbles. Just thought people would like to know their is hope.

has anybody thought of mounting a satelite antenna to the panel before attaching the new panel? I am thinking about doing that seeing I have to replace my sail panel and just wondered if anybody else has done it yet?
