Here's the back coming together with the lights done in 35% poly and the tail light section done in base/clear with a flattening agent in the clear. Got new glass and moldings installed as well.

? No it's a flattening additive you can add to any clear coat You can vary the amount of additive from 20-50% to acieve different levels of gloss. 50% looks like a chalk board, the black area around the lights on this car is 30%

Oh I understand. No, we haven't done that yet. Mabye this week if I have time, but she wants it back, and it is still plenty shiny.

That's a cool car for your wife, for sure! I think it would be cool if you painted the wheel centers that matte black that's on the back.

I am trying to convince her to let me do the centers of the wheels matte black, the bolts stay polished, and the lips in kandy pink.

What about a translucent black for the spokes so it looks like black chrome?

I love that idea... in fact I have a sprayable "anodize" product that bonds to polished aluminum. However she's wanting to leave them in full polish. I think it's bling overload.

Photobucket is acting up for me, so here's a few update pics as attatchments. It's just about done with the exception of the exhaust tips. I got some the other day from a guy that didn't even come close to fitting, I may try hacking up the stock Borla tips to fit.

For the wheels I think I've got her convinced to do black centers w/ pink lips ( ) so we'll see how that works out.
