So the time has come to paint my car, i dont know what i should do, would like some opinions, the car was originally White, then it was painted to a dark navy blue, but the engine bay is still white, and the paint job was done very well at all. So i am debating, should i go back to white, or get the dark blue redone, or just another color, what ya'll think? Let me know your ideas, pics, etc... Thanks all!

Oh, i forgot to add, that no matter what it is, the engine bay is going to be painted also, i want it clear coated.

 

You should consider getting the blue done and paint the engine bay to match!

 

Ya, i am debating, either way, the engine bay will be painted, even if i go back to white, i want the engine bay clear coated, its just debating the color, i see lots of white cars that look awesome, but i see blue and all the others, i want something unique, not way out there.

You have a picture by chance? That sounds like it would be pretty cool, i like white, and blue, maybe tie them together.

 

theres a car on here that had a sick paint scheme. it was the artic white with bright blue metallic 30th anniversary stripes. heres another thing to consider. with navy blue metallic its going to be almost as hard as black to take care of and if you have any dents or anything to fix it will show more imperfections then white.

 

Yeah, i agree, i kind of like the white look, been then do some kind of stripe design, in the Ford Sonic Blue, i love that color. And i do not like the dark blue with how dirty it gets, its dirty instantly, and its a pain to keep clean, i dont like a dirty car.

 

Anyone seen a arctic white camaro with the SS spoiler, Sunoco hood, and then Solid racing stripes around the sunoco hood in sonic blue? What you guys think of the idea?

 

A friend gave me this idea, and i like it a lot, but paint the car arctic white, and have dual solid racing stripes like his go across the car in the sonic blue color i want, i was thinking have them go straight up and over the sunoco cowl hood, or have them bend around it, what ya think?

The pic below is close to the look of how mine would look, i have that hood, and thinking white body paint still, then maybe on the the stripe designs below in the sonic blue color.

I'm a little biased though cause that would be the only color I would paint my car if I ever got it done.

i know you dont have an ss hood but that pewter camaro you have with the black stripes is amazing.

 

Arctic White, for obvious reasons

 

My favorite Camaro scheme is still all white with a black interior.

It's upto you. If you are going to do it right(paint all the jambs), it will look good in any color.

 

Well i have decided to go with arctic white, it will all be painted right, mirrors and the bridge behind the t tops will be white, below is a pic of how its going to be painted, its not the best, just because i am not good with photoshop, and i found this pic, closet to how it will look, all white with the Sunoco hood, so what ya'll think?

Both the stock hood and Sunoco hood will be painted this way, the second pic is almost like it, besides the black berger panel, have those rims, and CME.





Car is in the shop for it, so tell me what ya think?

 

Here's our other car. It's called Electron Blue Something to consider:

 

I like the color, maybe good for stripes, i pretty stuck on white for the body.

 

I'd stick with whatever color it was born with. Makes it a lot easier with the details. Unless, of course, you're prepared to sand and tape a lot more.
