Okay, I have a proposal for anyone interested. I worked forever on this damned thing and want someone to use it. It looks fantastic installed, but a little rough close up.
So, here is the deal:
The new price is FREE, but there are two conditions:
1. I'd like to know if you use it.
2. If you don't like it, you must contact me for the shipping info for the next person who might, and pay the shipping to them.
I just worked too long on it. I guess it is a sentimental thing or something. I want to see it used.
Again, this is now FREE, I am even going to ship it.

I'll spray the gloss tonight. I like to wait about 3 days before I ship something with any new paint. The gloss is on, so it'll go in a couple days.
I'm just glad to see it will be somewhere.
Thanks,
John

yeah, sorry. It went quick. If for any reason 19ls1ta99 doesn't like it, he'll get it to you.
If you only need it for one switch, I have a suggestion that I came across while trying to figure out my center console rebuild. This will cost you a round rocker switch, or i the cutout came with one, it'll be free. First, so that you get an idea of how it will look, it will look really good, take the rocker switch and slide it into the cigarette lighter's hole. It is a perfect fit. Take the top part of the center console out. Now basically cut power to the lighter, and cut the bottom half of the holder off. Boom! A one switch solution that somewhat looks like it easily could have come that way!
Hope it helps

They are just round rocker switches. Any automotive store should have them. A TON of online places have them and they are REALLY cheap. ****, I think I've seen them at WalMart!
1. Cut off the non-essential parts of the ash tray i.e. everything below the parts that clip in.
2. Get some plastic. If you happen to have some ABS sheet, it is really easy to work with. If not, head to a hardware store and buy a blank wall switch cover.
3. Cut to fit - take your time and do better than I did.
4. Use an adhesive to secure the plastic inside the remainder of the ash tray. For adhesion, use most of it on the bottom. For a flat top/surface, put some on top.
5. Drill 3/4" holes where you want them.
6. Sand until it is really smooth. Do a better job than I did.
7. Prime, paint, clear, wetsand, polish. Do a better job than I did!
