Up for sale is my 5000 mile LS6 longblock. Motor has Wiseco 3.89 forged pistons, stock rods with ARP bolts, and stock crank. Heads are 243 casting with yellow springs, has small Comp Cam also. Motor is complete with all covers. Not included are intake, injectors, coil packs, and flexplate. This engine made 372 RWHP in my auto Formula with 3.23 gears and TCI 3500 convertor. Motor is perfect in every way, the only reason for selling is because car was wrecked in rear. Plus the fact that I have 3 other motors. This engine can be shipped at buyers expense. Buy with confidence.

What is the origin of the engine (why the low miles)?

Are the pistons just stock bore (I assume so since it's such low mileage)? What is the CR and why were the pistons installed?

Which "small Comp cam" is in it?

BUMP for a very honest and good seller. I knew the car, and know the motor. Car drove great, before the humorous "incident" in the rear of the car.

TTT for ya..

Motor was installed in my sons Z28. His shifter cable broke earlier in the week, I had advised him to use the Ebrake until said cable could be replaced. Well, before we had he opportunity to fix the problem, he went home for a few minutes to take care of some business. Upon going back outside, car had rolled down a steep hill and hit a tree in the left rear, hence totaling it out.

The motor started out as a new ls6 block, had a used crank, used rods, but no pistons. Purchased new wiseco 3.89 bore pistons, installed ARP rodbolts, turned crank .010, balanced entire assembly. Purchased new 243 heads, installed new Yellow springs, new valves. Installed small comp cam, I have cam card at work. Motor was installed, and less than 5 months later, well you know the story.

Any more questions?

So the pistons are basically just stock replacement pistons? The ol' govt computer I'm using won't download Wiseco's catalog, so I can't see what specs they offer until I get home later. Do you know if they retain the stock CR?

I blew my LS6 at VIR this weekend, and since GM no longer offers the LS6 crate motor, I'll be looking for a used one.

I see most of the parts are new, but what about the used rods. Were they replaced?
