I think the credit-based purchase system was invented with the newer systems and, unfortunately, the older serial interface can't be upgraded any longer. I just figured this out last Friday when I tried to add credits to my older serial interface that I inherited with an engine package. There is nothing on the HP Tuners purchase page to let you know it is obsolete so you can bang your head on the wall for a while not knowing why the credit purchase process doesn't work for you. But if you hunt around the HP Tuner site forum you can find information about it. I want more flexibility so I am on the hunt for a newer HP Tuner system.
