I have a Auburn Posi that came out of a 1995 Impala SS. It worked pretty good, but the guy went to a Detroit Locker. It has about 70K miles on it. I have pictures that can be emailed or texted. I will try to post them up later tonight. I think this would fit any GM 8.5" 10 bolt with 28 spline axles. Its a pretty stout unit if you compare it to a 7.625" one. I do believe this is a 3 series carrier. The car had 3.73 gears in it that he had already had installed before I worked on it.

I'll do $80 shipped on it. Just need it out of my way.

 

I still have this. It's a 30 spline, not a 28. I'll $65 shipped for it now!!!

It definatly is a 30 spline? And is not one of those stupid governed lockers? I am replacing one of those and want a real posi.

It's not the gov lock. Its the Auburn cone-type posi. It has not been used for like 3 years. The guy brought us his Impala SS and had us install a detroit locker in it. As far as I know, it still locks hard and works good. Here are some pictures of it. I'll try to send out some PM's.




The one bearing is a little messed up on the end, but I would assume that you would be installing new bearings. Here is a picture of that.
