Default 396ci LT1, McLeod aluminum street twin clutch

Category: Engine - Complete Motors
Price: $3200
Location (State): NY
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item Can be Shipped
Engine: LT1/LT4
LS Engine?: Non-LS Part

The motor externally is also nearly spotless with no grease/grime and a nicely painted (gloss black) block. The motor was build for forced induction, but performs well for a NA motor if you are not looking for a radical NA stroker. Oil pressure is fantastic and there are absolutely ZERO issues with this motor. The shortblock alone was nearly $5000 new.

I currently have the EFI Connection 24x setup installed on the motor. This is not included with the price, but I will leave it on if someone wants it for an extra $450. I’ll then just buy another 24x setup for my new motor.

The motor is complete, but will not include any accessories or injectors.

Callies billet 4-bolt splayed main caps
ARP 4-bolt main studs
Balance rotating assembly (balanced with STOCK weighted flywheel)
Canton 242T oil pan
Canton pickup
Melling oil pump
ARP 6pt head studs
FelPro oil pan gasket
LT4 Extreme duty timing set
Comp Cams Xtreme Energy 224/236 114 cam
Stock LT1 intake (nicely painted black)
Cometic .040" head gaskets
Stock LT1 heads w/
GM Bowtie (Crane) 1.6 aluminum roller rockers
Comp cams 987 valvesprings
Comp cams 7.150" magnum pushrods
GM oil pump drive assembly
Stock GM lifters (brand new at the time of engine build)

I will be happy to let anyone come hear/ride in the car to validate the motors health. I can also provide video of it running to anyone that is not local.

I also have a very nice McLeod street twin clutch with the ALUMINUM flywheel ($1500 new). Both disc show virtually no wear. I replaced the first disc (PP side, always wears faster than the second disc on all street twins) with a brand new one at the beginning of this season. It only has around 400 (four hundred) miles on the new disc. The rest of the street twin has about 3k miles and will include the required McLeod adjustable master cylinder.

Motor - $3200
Street Twin - $700

Default Clutch

Is the clutch for an LT1 T56? Also do you have a part number. Interested. Thanks

I should have been more specific. Yes, it is for a LT1 T56 car. The part number is 63022-1A-07. It sells for over $1500 new.

Thanks!

Were you pushing any boost thru the 396? How did those stock heads perform with that much more displacement?
