Used but friction surfaces still show hatching.
Just installed new pins, sleeves, shims and nuts. The threads didn't look great on the original posts.
Bought this used to install on my aluminum-frame, LS2-powered, Shelby Cobra replica. I wanted the lightest thing I could get. Once I got to work, I discovered that dropping the T56 from this chassis is like pulling a pissed-off silverback into bed with you, not fun. The Mag Force clutches require you to pull the clutch as it wears and adjust the shim-pack. I used a traditional, self-adjusting clutch with a lightweight flywheel from Monster.
Tons of life left in the friction discs. Pressure plate is stacked with the full shim-pack and you can see the nuts are barely on the threads of the stands and the fingers are way up.
Note: this clutch will rattle when the clutch pedal is depressed. The floaters are gonna float and rattle on the pins. Also, the friction discs have solid hubs, no springs like a standard clutch. When it starts to rub and grab, it's gonna rub and grab.
Uses stock GM hydraulics.
