Man its gonna be hard to sell that cam with out a verification of who ground it. You may do better selling it at a lower price. I like it but its not enough lift and I cant bring my self to run a regrind stock cam with the spring pressures I like to run. Good Luck man!

I really doubt it is a regrind. I'm sure it's a custom ground cam. The price is obo so feel free to make me an offer

Nasty cam, I'd make an offer but way too radical for my heavy stock geared car.

This came in my car when I bought it. All it had done to it was 4.56 gears and the cam (springs and pushrods too).

Get some gears and buy the cam

Spoke with COMP a bit more about the other set of numbers printed on the shaft of the cam after noticing it was pretty much the same as the new one I bought from them and it is a custom grind from them not a regrind.

There is no way to take a stock cam and regrind into that.

That's what I thought to but the other guy that replied on here thought it might be so I just wanted to confirm.

bump it up. Spoke with the guys and Comp and confirmed it is a custom grind and not a reground cam. Just wanted to let people know in case they were unsure or hesitant.

Matthew Maxwell: Ok, I really can't tell without a serial number or "SN#" off of the cam card. We do not have any shelf cams like that. So it is probably a custom grind. I can't tell if it has been re-ground, though.
Ben: part number on the top of the card is 54-000-11
Matthew Maxwell: That's a custom grind part#.
Matthew Maxwell: Not a regrind part#.
Ben: ok so then it is for sure a custom grind and not a regrind?
Matthew Maxwell: yep

Just thought I'd throw this out there:

The 54-000-11 is a custom Comp Cams core. So they are saying it's not a Comp Cams custom grind? That exchange you posted doesn't clarify their stance on that. If they threw it on a Cam Doctor they could tell you exactly what lobes it has.

That's what they did. They just didn't tell me what the lobes were. Unless it says it somewhere on the cam card they sent me back. It is on the first post second picture. I will make sure that the links are working.
