Man its gonna be hard to sell that cam with out a verification of who ground it. You may do better selling it at a lower price. I like it but its not enough lift and I cant bring my self to run a regrind stock cam with the spring pressures I like to run. Good Luck man!

Spoke with COMP a bit more about the other set of numbers printed on the shaft of the cam after noticing it was pretty much the same as the new one I bought from them and it is a custom grind from them not a regrind.

bump it up. Spoke with the guys and Comp and confirmed it is a custom grind and not a reground cam. Just wanted to let people know in case they were unsure or hesitant.
Matthew Maxwell: Ok, I really can't tell without a serial number or "SN#" off of the cam card. We do not have any shelf cams like that. So it is probably a custom grind. I can't tell if it has been re-ground, though.
Ben: part number on the top of the card is 54-000-11
Matthew Maxwell: That's a custom grind part#.
Matthew Maxwell: Not a regrind part#.
Ben: ok so then it is for sure a custom grind and not a regrind?
Matthew Maxwell: yep

Just thought I'd throw this out there:
The 54-000-11 is a custom Comp Cams core. So they are saying it's not a Comp Cams custom grind? That exchange you posted doesn't clarify their stance on that. If they threw it on a Cam Doctor they could tell you exactly what lobes it has.
