Selling the cam that I pulled out of my car. There were almost no markings on the cam itself so I sent it out to Comp Cams for them to profile it for me. Below is the sheet that they sent back. From what I have read online this seems to be a cam similar to the Grand Am Cup cam. This was installed in my stock CU ls1, however I would not recommend putting it in a stock CU motor and neither did the guy I spoke with who profiled the cam for me.

This thing has a nasty lope to it, powerband starts around 3500-3800 and pulls hard all the way to the redline (I have 4.56s too). The car kind of falls on its face under 2k rpm and will surge.

I have an open header video of my car to give somewhat of an idea of how it sounded if anyone wants it.

Spoke with the guys and Comp and confirmed it is a custom grind and not a reground cam. Just wanted to let people know in case they were unsure or hesitant.

Matthew Maxwell: Ok, I really can't tell without a serial number or "SN#" off of the cam card. We do not have any shelf cams like that. So it is probably a custom grind. I can't tell if it has been re-ground, though.
Ben: part number on the top of the card is 54-000-11
Matthew Maxwell: That's a custom grind part#.
Matthew Maxwell: Not a regrind part#.
Ben: ok so then it is for sure a custom grind and not a regrind?
Matthew Maxwell: yep
CAM IS SOLD

What heads and intake did you run with this cam? Also did Comp say it was a Comp grind with a specific lobe?

When I bought the car everything was stock except for the cam and 4.56 gears. I put on an ls6 intake and still had the stock 806 heads. I have new heads now but I bought a different cam. The guy said this was not a comp cam for sure.

It's not a comp cam. I sent it to comp to get it profiled and they sent it back to me in their box. It's a custom grind cam or it is a Grand AM Cup cam spec. Not sure if they made other specs around one another.

i had grand am cup cam in my 383 with lingenfelter heads and harrop itb intake it made 500rwhp and pulled like a ************. the ITB intake gave it power down low though so i never had that surging issue.

legit sounding cam if someone is looking for something insane sounding.
