I have a set of these, and I just sent a design for a bracket to mount LS1 coils (65.2mm spacing) to get quoted for waterjet. If you haven't already bought a replacement set of VCs, I'll let you know the price if you're interested. I work at a powdercoat shop as well, so I can get them done in almost any color.

I've tried a couple different valve cover brands, all of them I tried leaked horribly, so I went with a set of these holley covers and didn't know I needed the newer style coil. I could do a coil harness swap and coils, but that's around a $500 swap, just to run some shinny valve covers. Is the bracket you designed low profile? Only problem I see with a bracket is that it'll cover most of the valve cover, and make the polished valve covers un noticed.

It's 16ga (1/16 inch thick), and will have a weld nut at the top left hole of each group. We have a "chrome" powdercoat that looks like polished aluminum, so in your case, they'd probably be almost invisible.

One quote came back $60 for the pair (for just the cutting), another was $58 each for two, $25 each for 5+. Let me know if you're interested. In the meantime, I'm gonna go ahead and send a drawing for a single coil bracket, and see if it's cheaper to get 8 of them instead of 2 full ones.
