as the title says, looking for lt1 tail light wiring harness, trying to swap out the taillights in my ls1 car, got the lt1 taillight, and apparently need the harness too.

not sure exactly where you are suppose to disconnect from the factory ls1 harness and replace with the lt1 harness.

its behind the carpet on the inside wall behind the left taillight. I did the reverse when going to LS1 tail lights. I had to run an additional wire to my LS1 tail light harness as the LT1 harness was one wire short. SHouldnt be a problem going the other way.

 

so i don't need to do anything to swap my ls1 tail lights for the lt1 tail lights that i want to use??

no. I have swaped many customer cars from LT1 to LS1 lights and have never changed the tail light harnesses

 

you only need to change it if you want it to light up like a lt1? the ls1s only light up the ends and the lt1s light up along the whole bottom? does switching the harness make this happen?
