Re: Could deleting TM be worth .2ths in the 1/4? I think that depends on how much power you are making. With torque management in place, on a very close drag race, where a guy and I were evenly matched, every time my automatic shifted, I could see myself lose ground to the guy beside me.
At each shift, the nose of my car actually nose-dived and came back up at each shift, as if I were granny shifting with a manual stick. Well after removing TM and seeing that my RWTQ was 487, I guess it's not surprising that enough of a timing drop at shift-time to drop 487 RWTQ downwards toward 350 (that's what the stock PCM setting is) would make a huge difference.
After removing TM, at shift time, either it hooks and jummps forward, or it loses traction.. but, it don't nose-dive no mo'
As you can imagine, this is tougher on the tranny... but, aren't larege increases in hp and tq hard on drivetrain components anyway?

Re: Could deleting TM be worth .2ths in the 1/4? I gained 2/10 in the 1/4. It hurts it bad in my opinion. my 2-3 shifts would be KR by 3-4 degrees. I could feel the nose of the car drop on that shift. TM sucks.
