a week after pcm reset car doesnt idle
has anyone figured this out yet. i know a few other people have this problem. i started a thread a while ago and there were mixed answers. someone said to set it to run open loop between like 0 and 1000 rpms.
heres what it does...after i reset the pcm the car starts up and idles great. i can put it in drive and it goes with almost no warmup time. however, every time i start my car it gets progressivly worse. after about a week the car doesnt want to idle on startup. i will turn the key, itll fire up, then just die. after i get it started it i have to wait for a bit and still give it some gas when i put it in drive so it doesnt die.
i think we came to the conclusion that it was the pcm learning or something. however, isnt it running closed loop on startup/idle? so in theory it should idle the same every single time- whatever its programmed to do.
anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried replacing O2 sensors yet? We went through an issue like this on a friend's Formula recently. New O2s seem to fix the problem.
BUT, he was getting O2 codes though. Are you getting any DTCs?

they dont trip the light. every once in a while i would scan and get some ho inefficency codes or something like that. why would changing the 02s help? arent they only used in closed loop?
